Faithloft and your church

Faithloft provides software for participating churches and their communities. Your church manages its membership records, staff permissions, ministries and published content. Contact your church about its use of your records. For questions about the Faithloft service or this policy, contact support@faithloft.org.

Account and contact information

We process your name, email address, church account identifier and any profile details you or your church provide, such as a phone number, address or date of birth. We use these details to sign you in, manage church membership and permissions, respond to enquiries and deliver account messages. If you choose Apple or Google sign-in, we receive an account identifier and the profile information that provider shares. Apple may provide a private relay email address instead of your personal email address. Faithloft does not receive your Apple or Google password.

Community content and sensitive information

The service stores the messages, photos, files, voice recordings, prayer requests, comments, event registration answers and ministry information you submit through the features you use. It also records participation such as event registrations, attendance and serving assignments. Church membership and prayer or pastoral information can reveal religious beliefs, health concerns or other sensitive matters. Share only what you intend to share, check the audience shown in the app and provide another person’s information only when you have authority to do so.

Who can see your information

Access within a church depends on the feature, your visibility choices and staff permissions. Conversation participants can see shared messages; church staff with the relevant permissions can manage member, event, giving or pastoral records. Public posts and content shared outside Faithloft may reach a wider audience. An anonymous prayer request can still be visible to authorised staff when its contact and visibility settings permit this. Your church is responsible for explaining its own staff access and safeguarding practices.

Giving and payments

Giving is optional. When your church uses Stripe checkout, payment details are entered on Stripe’s hosted page. Faithloft records information needed to track the gift, including donor details, amount, currency, fund, payment status, provider references and receipts. Card numbers are handled by the payment provider through checkout. Other giving methods depend on the providers your church enables. Contact the receiving church about receipts, recurring gifts, refunds and its use of donation records.

Device permissions and service providers

Camera, photo-library and microphone access support actions you choose, such as scanning a QR code, sharing an image or recording a voice message. You can change these permissions in device settings. Biometric unlock uses the device’s authentication service; Faithloft does not receive your face or fingerprint data. Notifications use Google Firebase Cloud Messaging and, on Apple devices, Apple Push Notification service. These services process device or installation identifiers, notification routing information and message content needed for delivery. Some sermons use YouTube’s embedded player. Loading that player or following an external link shares the connection and playback information needed by that provider, whose own privacy policy applies. Email, hosting, storage and any integrations enabled by your church also process information needed to provide their features.

Security, local storage and activity records

Faithloft uses account permissions and separate church data stores to control access. The app stores sign-in credentials in secure device storage and keeps settings, cached content and any downloads needed for the features you use. Service activity, delivery records, errors and audit events help operate and secure the platform. Signing out removes the active sign-in session; it is different from requesting deletion of church records.

Access, correction and deletion

You can update supported profile fields and request a data export or account erasure through the app’s data-request settings. We may need to verify your identity. Erasure removes or de-identifies supported member records and ends account access; financial, audit and safeguarding records may require continued retention. A dependent record shared with another guardian may remain under that guardian’s account. Content already received, copied or exported by other people is outside the app’s deletion controls. Ask your church about its retention obligations and contact support@faithloft.org for help with a request.
